Mission
My mission is simple — to look after the bees that make all of this possible, and slowly grow more happy, healthy hives. Every candle helps — supporting their care, their food, and the little things that keep them safe and thriving.
Through this little project, I also hope to spark more appreciation for the quiet work bees do every day — and for the wild places, local wildlife, and natural beauty we’re so lucky to have here in Scotland.
The Product
Made With the Bees in Mind
Every candle starts with bees doing what they do best — building, working, and creating extra wax as a natural surplus. I only ever take what the bees don’t need, and the bees always come first. From there, the wax is gently cleaned, filtered, and poured by hand. A lot of time, love, and patience goes into each one — from the hive right through to the finished candle.
A Cleaner, Healthier Glow
Beeswax candles are one of the cleanest-burning candle choices. Unlike paraffin candles, which are made from petroleum and can release unwanted chemicals when burned, beeswax burns cleaner, brighter, and with less soot. Many people also find beeswax helps create a fresher-feeling space — and some say it may even help reduce unwanted odours and indoor dust. A safer, more natural way to enjoy candlelight.
